Easter 2009

Easter '09 was one for the memory books!

Emily visited the Easter bunny last week, and she was enamored by his big ears and fuzzy skin. She smiled big for the camera. No surprise there! This morning she awoke to find her first Easter basket - filled with a new ball, a set of toy keys, a laughing bunny and a snazzy, pink car - oh, and bubble bath.

Matt and I hosted our annual Easter dinner this year - complete with ham, beef tenderloin, my famous corn casserole and plenty of traditional, yummy side dishes brought by loving family members. Grammy J showed up early to help with the tasks, including watching Emi. Thank you, Mom! You made my preparation a lot easier! Thank goodness for Grandmas!

I look forward to this holiday every year - our sweet, beautiful nieces are always dressed in their Sunday best and this year we had two additions - Emily and Caroline. Both were on their best behavior and loved all the attention. They looked pretty darn cute in their spring threads. We had to do the egg hunt indoors, (again!) but the girls had a good time anyway. Little Miss Annemarie found the "special egg" for the second year in a row and received three new books as a prize!
