Team Spirit

So what if the Huskies are lame-o this year? Our babies still have spirit, yes they do!
Here's Peyton (4.5 mo.) and Emily doing their best Dawg impressions.
The cheerleader is doing her best job at being enthusiastic despite the horrid season.
Little Jake Locker just can't shake these losses from his mind.

Look Who's 4 Months Old!

Ahhh...our little pumpkin is 4 months old. It's truly amazing how fast the time has gone and how much she's grown in 4 short months. She is a super nap-crazy, well-behaved, happy baby.
Watch the video to see her latest gig: cooing. I call it babelish.
I think she's saying, "Vote Obama," but I can't quite tell. Can you?
I think she also says, "If Palin gets in Office, I will poop my Huggies."
Oy, this baby! I always tell her to keep politics to herself.

Also, for those who do not know (I think most people do), I have decided not to go back to work at REI. It was an extremely hard decision to make, but I think I made the right choice. Having the opportunity to be with Emily during her first year + is amazing. I've already witnessed a handful of firsts and I can't wait to witness many more! I'm so lucky to have a hubby who works incredibly hard for his family. And I mean it. Matt works 12 - 14 hour days and sometimes goes into work Sundays. He's made it possible for me to stay home with Emily and I am so grateful.
Cheerio!

NYC: Just Mom and Me

My mom and I took a trip to NYC to see Yankee Stadium before they tear it down.
It was a blast! We stayed at the Hilton on 54th and 7th, climbed on a double-decker tour bus, gallivanted our way up the Empire State Building, saw the award-winning musical, In the Heights, and went to a Yankee game. It was a muggy, 90-degree day in the Bronx.
All this in about 2.5 days. Whew!

That's How We Roll

Introducing Emily's first roll on vid!
She's technically rolled over before, but it's been by accident really.
This is the first roll she's done solely by herself.
(Please excuse the overly excited, squealing Mom in the background.)

Sleeping in Seattle

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Emily has been sleeping "through the night" for the last 3 nights.
She snoozed for 7 hours one night, 8 hours the next and last night she went for 8.5 hours.
Welcome back, uninterrupted sleep! I've missed you so.

First Giggles

The picture is a little dark, but you can hear her. This is her first bona fide giggle. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday, Jonas!

Our precious pooch, Jonas, turned 1 this weekend! His buddy, Ruby and his mom, Sammy, helped celebrate at Magnuson Dog Park.
Two-legged folks in attendance: Mom, the Powells, Carmela, Keith and Ryan.

Thanks to everyone for the neat birthday gifts! Woof!
