We took our annual winter trip to Whistler - and having a baby and a dog added a whole new family element to the trip. Jonas even got the pleasure of sleeping in our bed one night - lucky dog!
The weather was very cold and very windy, but gorgeous nonetheless. We received one day of snowfall in the village, then the next day the temp dropped about 20 degrees so ice was everywhere. The baby, Jonas and I walked the village every day while Matt and his buddy Brian (and wife Meagan) conquered the hills. Matt went on a heli-ski adventure thanks to a gracious birthday gift from his brother, Mark. It was too cold and windy to do all 4 heli-ski runs, so they had to turn around after 2. But what a great experience!
We rounded up a babysitter each night around Emily's bedtime so we could go out to dinner. All three "nannies" were very sweet and very Australian! It's amazing how many Aussies live up in Whistler.
Emily adjusted to the new environment really well - sleeping, playing and napping just fine. After all, this is her second trip to Whistler in just 4 months! Here are pics and video of our trip:
