It's been a jam-packed couple of weeks!
Emily went to her first parade and took her first camping trip.
Both of which she loved!
We decided to venture to Orcas Island this year for a camping trip - Emily's first ever! Friday greeted us with sunshine, Saturday and Sunday greeted us with sleets of rain. Bastard Washington summer! Oh well. We made the best of it, and Emily looooooved the experience. We put her in the back of our car for bedtime and naptime (our tent was 5 ft. away). Note to parents: THIS IS A MUST DO! Don't be worried about whether your kid will be kidnapped or in danger. They will get precious sleep! The car is locked and if they are great sleepers, it's a sure fire bet! Em slept 12 hours each night and her full 3-hour nap during the day. Win-win for all! She was fully rested and ready to camp. Gotta love this sleepy, independent kid.
